Start here

Every post answers a question a traveler is already asking about Roatán, diving or the trip, and ends on one comment keyword. The DM sends the answer and the link to book direct.

ReelsReach travelers and divers who have never heard of Bananarama. Instagram pushes reels that get watched to the end.
CarouselsFor people who already found the account. Pinned to the top so new visitors see them first.

The first week

  1. Today: replace the broken bio link (see The account).
  2. Set the profile picture, bio and Facebook cover.
  3. Post the three pinned carousels (who we are, what's in the Dive & Stay, the packing list) and pin them to the top of the profile.
  4. Post the 7 highlight stories and save each one to its highlight with its cover.
  5. Set up the keyword DMs before the first reel goes out, or plan to answer each keyword comment by hand with the DM text below.
  6. Download reel B1's three versions below, each with its caption.
  7. Post one reel version a day, mixed across topics, and tick each one off.
  8. Comment a keyword from a second account to check the DM comes through.

All real footage. Every reel here runs on clips Leslie filmed at Bananarama in October and November 2026: the dive shop, the boats, divers dropping in, a sea turtle on the reef, the beach at sunrise, the rain. No stock. There is plenty more, not used yet, in the Bananarama footage folder (diving, snorkeling with the nurse sharks, the resort and the interviews). See ideas for the next round.

Timing. The Dive & Stay runs to December 15, 2026, so B1 posts first. B7 (Return Guest Special) only runs before November 15, or when the owner runs it again. Post B9 (cruise day) on Mondays, before the Tuesday to Thursday ships. Hold B10 (PACK) until the packing list is built.

Keywords and automations

Check every link before the automations go live. PACK waits for the packing list, and KIDS sends the dive shop page until the family guide is built. The restaurants page showed a "verifying" screen when we checked; open it once on a phone before it goes in a highlight.

Writing new content

The rules every reel and caption on this page follows, so new posts match.

Reel text, three layers

  1. Hook: a number, a rule or a moment, 7 words or fewer.
  2. Second line: the consequence or the fix, 6 words or fewer.
  3. Call to action: say the action and what they get: "Comment STAY For All The Details", "Read The Caption For Kids' Ages", "Save This Before December 15", "Send To Your Dive Buddy".

Every fact comes from bananarama.com or a guest review. The price is the hook; the fine print goes in the caption, never on screen.

Caption shape

  1. The hook extended, with one emoji and a search phrase.
  2. A setup line ending in 👇.
  3. Three to five numbered points, one or two short lines each.
  4. A save or send line.
  5. The keyword line: "Comment WORD and we will send..."
  6. Five hashtags at most, always #Bananarama, then #Roatan or #WestBayRoatan, then two for the topic.

The voice

Laid-back, warm, straight: the front desk talking to a guest on their fourth stay. "We," never "I." Say it their way: "Dive & Stay", "Your Caribbean Base Camp", "Turtles love good divers." Never boost a post.

Never: "#1", "best", "top rated", "guaranteed" or safety promises; another resort's name; the missing pool; math on screen; tours shown as our own (they are booked through us); a guest's or child's face without OK; em dashes; "actually"; "not X, it's Y" reversals; filler words. Prices always say "plus tax" in the caption.

Mix up the markers

Every caption gets its own number and arrow style, never the same set twice in a row.
